When Hull host Sandal at Chanterlands Avenue on Saturday, they have the advantage of knowing they have already beaten their Wakefield based opponents.
Hull emerged victorious 35-27 after a closely fought game to deny Sandal a losing bonus point in the last weekend of November.
Since then, Hull have won 10 of their last 12 games while Sandal have registered eight wins and four defeats.
They travel to Hull in good form having won three of their last four fixtures. Their only defeat came at Kendal who managed to win by a single point on March 11.
The gap between the two sides is just four points with Hull holding the advantage over Sandal, who were relegated from National Two North last season.
However, Sandal can go above Hull in National Three North if they can claim a five point win and deny Hull a losing bonus point.
But with home advantage for the remaining three league games Hull will expect to consolidate third place.
