Ahead of their trip to a Rossendale, Hull have been boosted by the news Gary Pearce has extended his stay as head coach.
Pearce has agreed a new two year contract that will keep him at Chanterlands Avenue until the end of the 2018/19 season, with the option of a third year.
Pearce has assembled a squad of players he believes are capable of winning promotion and he wants to help them continue in the right direction.
“I’m excited by what we’ve got at the club right now,” Pearce said.
“We are only going to get better.
“We are creating a club, not just a first XV and I’m delighted to commit for the coming years
“When I came here I had a five year plan and that plan is going well.
“This is only the second year and the long term goal is to have three teams competing.
“We want to have competitive teams for players not picked for the first team to play.
“This is one the best amateur sides I’ve ever coached and I’m looking forward to developing the young players here and continue creating a successful atmosphere.”
